Dunedin

Days 1/2

semi-overcast 70 °F

The first day in Dunedin, we took a tour of the Cadbury Chocolate Factory! Yum! We got to try all of the different types of Cadbury chocolate as well as having liquid chocolate for a drink. It was great! They had all different types of machines for each of the different types of chocolate. We saw what chocolate is made from as well as what makes white chocolate and dark chocolate different from milk chocolate. It was very cool. The second day we walked around Dunedin. We visited the information center and walked around some of the historic buildings such as the railway station which we didn't get a good look at the day we came.

Today we caught the Devil's Nose Train to Dunedin, the bottom of the South Island. It was a very nice train with comfortable seats and HUGE windows.

Queenstown

Day 4

semi-overcast 80 °F

Today, we went jet boating. We took a bus down to a canyon called Skippers Canyon and then we boarded a jet boat. The jet boat took us between forty to sixty miles per hour! It did 360 degree spins and it was FANTASTIC! Queenstown was fabulous!

Queenstown

Day 3

sunny 77 °F

Today, we took a small plane out to Milford sound, and from there we took a boat out to see the fiord. It was amazingly beautiful with mountains sticking straight out of the ocean and hardly a cloud in sight. The water was calm and the sun was bright. We captain of our boat even took us under several waterfalls! When we got back to Queenstown, we went zip lining! We zip lined six separate lines including the famous 'Big Dipper' and the worlds steepest zip line! We had a great day!
Our photos are back in the works!
